remember us?

this time last year

when we sat down together and had our many chats

you were in a crisis then

just like you are again now

but we both know you always bloom in crisis

so it’s a blessing, isn’t it?

because the bloom doesn’t happen after the crisis

it happens right in the heart of it

i know you’ve been working very hard

i know you’ve been giving a lot, too

and it sucks to feel unappreciated

but remember when you wrote your holiday issue about spreading joy?

about beginning differently?

and being grateful ahead...?

we’ve been preparing ourselves for each other

learning to trust that our bloom happens in our own timing

you’ll see 

you can do hard things

and feel grateful for all the love you didn’t expect to receive
