Know what you need

Many people know what they want, but very few know what they need.

When I wrote this last year, I had a sudden realization that I was among those who knew very well what I wanted but never paid enough attention to what I needed. There was a deep void in me that always felt inherently missing, urging me to examine what that was. The crazy thing is, I realized I always knew what I needed; I just didn’t know then that what I needed is the key to happiness, not what I wanted.

It’s our mind that tells us what we want, but it’s our gut that tells us what we need. And if you already know what you need, are your actions aligned with it?
