There are moments that need no edits, this is one 🤍
I’ve noticed a strange shift within myself since turning a new age—not in a way that feels uncomfortable, but like moving into calmer waters after years of powering through seasons of storms.
What happened on my birthday this year touched me so deeply that I’ll never forget it. Words can’t describe how grateful I am, and this moment during our gratitude ceremony at Etereo made me break into tears afterwards. I didn’t know how to describe unconditional love, but I now know deeply what it feels like.
Yenner, the shaman at the place I stayed, is of Mayan descent. He led all the rituals, taught me about Mayan readings and even did one for me, gave me more than enough handmade gifts, then surprised me again at the end without expecting anything in return (!) Since he doesn’t use cell phones or social media, I was upset when I realized we wouldn’t be able to keep in touch. He genuinely didn’t want anything from me—not even the tip I tried to give him until I insisted he could use it to make more gifts for others.
And in that moment, I was reminded once again that souls don’t “keep in touch” through physical means. Love, when it’s on a soul level, transcends and stays.
I cried, but they were happy tears. They made me reflect on how lucky I am to have received so much in this life that only further deepens my unquenchable desire to give. But it’s not only about giving—it’s about learning to both give and receive love unconditionally.
To many more lasting memories, unedited moments, and pure joys that nourish the soul 🥰

(Thank you, Ommar, for helping me capture this beautiful moment and many others… I’m so grateful that you were my guide 🙏)
